In a few weeks time, Optometrists and other eye care practitioners around the world will mark the WORLD SIGHT DAY, come 14th October 2021.
It is never too early for your state chapter of the Nigerian Optometric Association to start making plans to make this year’s event a very impactful and memorable one.
World Sight is always a great opportunity to make a great statement on the need for;
(i) Improved Eye Care,
(ii) Preventing Avoidable Blindness
(iii) Employment of Optometrists in the Public Sector and across the board
(iv) Governments to set aside more funds for Eye Care related Projects.
Optometrists will provide free/sponsored or affordable eye care, eye health education and engage the media, political leaders and other stakeholders.
This is the time to start crossing your t’s and dotting your i’s.
Get involved with other Optometrists in your area and make 2021 World Sight Day one of the best ever.
