The Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA) has announced the possibility of obtaining full 20 CPD points for participants annual renewal of practice licence in the its forthcomingis flagship conference, Oluyole 2024 to hold from July 31 to August 3rd at the Jogor Center in Ibadan. The event promises to be a feast of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities, with a lineup of expert-led workshops and lectures that will earn participants up to 20 CPD points.
Pre-Conference Workshops
On July 31, delegates can choose from two pre-conference workshops. The first, on Binocular Vision Disorders/Training, will be anchored by FOM and Prof. Naill Strang of Glasgow Caledonian University. The second, on Research Process, Publication, and Presentation, will be led by Assoc. Prof. Bernadeine Ekpenyong of the University of Calabar and Dr. Godwin Ovenseri of the University of Highlands and Islands, UK.
In-Conference Workshops
During the main conference, participants will have the opportunity to attend two in-conference workshops. On August 1, Prof. Oluyemi Fasina of the University of Ibadan and UCH, Ibadan, will lead a session on Ocular Emergencies. The following day, Dr. Phuritshabam Chinglemba of Thellish Eye Hospital will share expertise on Management and Diagnosis of Vitreo-Retinal Diseases.

Registration for the conference is currently open, with an additional cost of N20,000 covering one pre-conference and two in-conference workshops.

CPD Points
In-conference workshops are free for registered participants the conference, but payments are required for those seeking workshop certificates signed by resource persons for CPD credit.
