Expanding Frontiers, Enhancing Care. NOA Is Committed to Excellence in Eye Care

In his address at the ongoing NOA Webinar, Dr. Anderson Chimeziri emphasized the association’s dedication to improving and expanding the field of eye care. He said,
“We will continue to improve, continue to expand our frontiers and improve ourselves in our quest to deliver quality eyer care.”

He highlighted the partnership with international experts and organizations to bring the best knowledge and resources to Nigerian optometrists.

The ongoing webinar includes presentations on Assistive Technology for Low Vision Patients by Dr. Enechi Gilbert and Visual Field Tests online by Eyeonic, an Australian-based company and a presentation from Vision Spring.

The NOA President reiterated the current administration’s commitment to enhancing the clinical competence and professional know-how of Nigerian optometrists.

He stated that NOA is negotiating with companies involved in cutting edge technology including Eyeonic for affordable prices for NOA members.

Earlier in the day, Dr. Chimeziri attended the training on VITREORETINAL OPTOMETRY at Thelish Hospital, which was met with enthusiasm from participating optometrists.

It is worthy of note that the 2024 Conference at Ibadan also featured a Tele Optometry and AI session anchored by Dr. Levi Osuagwu, with panelists from around the world, including Dr. Sandra Block, President of the World Council of Optometry.

The webinar on Low Vision/Assistive Technology for Low Vision Patients is currently ongoing, from 5pm to 7 pm today, 9th September, 2024.
